"Bütün bunlar onların real danışıqlara hazır olub-olmadığına dair şübhələr yaradır"

Tehran will continue indirect negotiations with the United States if it sees a serious commitment from Washington to resolve Iran's nuclear issue through diplomacy.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that these remarks were made by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The minister emphasized that the future of the dialogue depends heavily on the actions taken by the American administration.

Araghchi reaffirmed that Iran will never relinquish its right to develop peaceful nuclear energy, including uranium enrichment.

"The success of the negotiations depends on how seriously the other side approaches this issue. I think the first stage of the talks was more of a test of confidence and the seriousness of the intention to reach an agreement through negotiations. There are signs that the US is serious, but there are also signs that this seriousness is diminishing, such as the continuation of some sanctions and certain military activities. All this raises doubts about how serious the other party is and whether they are ready for real negotiations. We are carefully monitoring all these signs and evaluating them to decide whether to continue the negotiations," Araghchi added.

The Foreign Minister further noted that unrealistic and groundless demands from the US serve as a significant barrier to progress. He reiterated that Iran has no intention of developing nuclear weapons and remains committed to the peaceful nature of its program. These statements come at a critical juncture as US President Donald Trump leads the American administration's foreign policy, with the international community closely watching the potential for a renewed Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or a similar framework.

The nuclear standoff between Tehran and Washington has remained a central issue in global geopolitics since the US withdrawal from the original nuclear deal in 2018. The current diplomatic efforts aim to address concerns regarding Iran's enrichment levels while providing relief from the economic sanctions that have impacted the Iranian economy. Azerbaijan, maintaining balanced relations with both regional neighbors and global powers, continues to monitor these diplomatic developments closely due to their implications for regional stability and energy security.
