An Iranian delegation has postponed its scheduled visit to Pakistan amid escalating regional tensions.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing a source who spoke to TASS, that the diplomatic mission to Islamabad will not proceed under current conditions. The source emphasized that official talks are unlikely to commence as long as military operations in the region continue.
According to the official statement, the primary condition for resuming the diplomatic process is the cessation of Israeli military actions in Lebanon. "The delegation has not yet arrived, and negotiations are not possible if the attacks on Lebanon continue," the source noted, highlighting that the suspension of hostilities is a prerequisite for bilateral engagements at this stage.
The postponement comes at a time of heightened volatility across the Middle East, where cross-border escalations have increasingly impacted diplomatic schedules and regional security cooperation. Pakistan and Iran have historically maintained complex diplomatic ties, frequently engaging in high-level dialogues to manage border security and economic interests. This latest delay reflects the broader geopolitical impact of the conflict in Lebanon, which continues to influence the foreign policy priorities and diplomatic mobility of regional powers.
