The Iranian Foreign Ministry has sharply criticized the latest sanctions imposed by the United States. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, official Tehran stated that the restrictive measures unilaterally implemented by Washington are inconsistent with the principles of the United Nations (UN) Charter.
In an official statement, the Iranian Foreign Ministry emphasized that such sanctions contradict fundamental principles of international law and negatively impact interstate relations. The ministry further called upon the international community to refrain from complying with the US-imposed sanctions, which Tehran characterizes as illegal.
Official Tehran maintains that the expansion of these unilateral restrictive measures could cause significant damage to global stability and further exacerbate tensions in international relations. This diplomatic friction highlights the ongoing challenges in US-Iran relations, which have been characterized by decades of economic pressure, diplomatic isolation, and complex geopolitical negotiations regarding Iran's nuclear program and regional influence.
