The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a sharp response to statements made by US President Donald Trump regarding the potential conclusion of hostilities with Iran.
The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing BBC, reports that the IRGC officially declared that the decision regarding the end of the conflict rests solely with Tehran, stating, "We are the ones who decide when the war will end."
In a parallel diplomatic development, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in an interview with PBS News, emphasized that his country is prepared to sustain its current course of action for as long as necessary. Araghchi further noted that negotiations are currently impossible under the prevailing circumstances. This follows remarks by US President Donald Trump, who previously suggested that Iran was prepared to attack the United States "within a week" and predicted that any resulting conflict would be short-lived, though a final resolution has not yet been reached. Following the President's comments, global oil prices saw a notable decline.
The IRGC also issued a strategic warning, asserting that if attacks by the United States and Israel continue, Tehran will take measures to ensure that "not a single liter of oil" is exported from the region. This escalation highlights the growing volatility in the Middle East, where maritime security and energy corridors remain central to the geopolitical standoff. Historically, such threats to the Strait of Hormuz have triggered significant fluctuations in global energy markets and prompted increased international naval presence in the Persian Gulf.
