Elon Musk has become the first person in history to see his net worth surpass the $800 billion mark.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing data from Forbes magazine, the American entrepreneur has set a historic record as his wealth reached unprecedented levels following significant corporate developments.
The publication reports that the sharp increase in Musk's fortune is primarily attributed to the merger of his SpaceX and xAI companies. As a result of this deal, the combined value of the businesses reached $1.25 trillion. This process increased Musk's personal wealth by $84 billion, bringing it to a record-breaking $852 billion.
Prior to the merger, Musk owned approximately 42% of SpaceX, which Forbes valued at $336 billion, and 49% of xAI, valued at $122 billion. Following the consolidation, he controls approximately 43% of the merged entity, a stake worth $542 billion. SpaceX has now officially become Musk's largest financial asset.
In addition to his aerospace and AI ventures, the entrepreneur holds a 12% stake in Tesla worth $178 billion, along with stock options valued at $124 billion. Notably, these calculations do not include a potential bonus package that could bring Musk up to $1 trillion in income if Tesla meets its long-term market targets. Forbes emphasizes that over the last four months, Musk has consecutively surpassed the $500, $600, and $700 billion wealth barriers. He currently leads the world's second-richest person, Google co-founder Larry Page, whose net worth is estimated at $281 billion, by a significant margin.
This financial milestone comes at a time of increased global influence for Musk, who has maintained a prominent role in both the technology sector and international discourse. As a key figure in American innovation, Musk's ventures in satellite communications, electric vehicles, and artificial intelligence continue to reshape global industries. His financial trajectory is closely watched by international markets as his companies play a pivotal role in the strategic technological landscape of the United States and its global partners.
