İlham Əliyev: Bizə hər hansı ölkə, o cümlədən Fransa ilə heç bir problem lazım deyil

Azerbaijan does not seek complications in its relations with any country, including France, and is ready to normalize ties, President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with France 24 in Munich.

"At the end of last year, I had a meeting with President Macron. The meeting was very positive, and we agreed to start everything anew. We are ready for this," Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the head of state's remarks to the television correspondent.

President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that official Baku maintains a constructive foreign policy and is not interested in unnecessary diplomatic tensions. The President's comments come amid a period of recalibration in Azerbaijan-France relations, as both nations explore avenues for renewed dialogue following previous diplomatic challenges. Azerbaijan continues to prioritize its national interests while remaining open to international cooperation based on mutual respect and territorial integrity.
