On July 31, a one-on-one meeting took place in the city of Cholpon-Ata between President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Presidential Press Service, the two leaders focused their discussions on the strengthening of strategic partnership ties and the development of regional cooperation between Baku and Bishkek.
Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan maintain robust diplomatic relations, characterized by mutual support and active engagement within international organizations, including the Organization of Turkic States. High-level visits between the two nations are frequent, aimed at deepening economic, cultural, and political integration. These meetings serve as a platform for both countries to align their positions on regional security and infrastructure projects, further solidifying the historical and cultural bonds shared by the two nations.
