Azerbaijan and Armenia have established trade relations, signaling that the achieved peace will be long-lasting, President Ilham Aliyev said.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev made these remarks during the opening ceremony of the XIII Global Baku Forum in the capital.
The head of state emphasized that Baku and Yerevan have achieved peace, noting that "it has become a reality, not just on paper."
"Calm prevails on our borders. We have established trade relations. This indicates that the peace is long-term and will last for centuries," President Ilham Aliyev stated.
The Global Baku Forum, organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, has become a premier platform for world leaders, Nobel laureates, and international experts to discuss pressing global challenges. This year's event focuses on regional security, economic integration, and the normalization of relations in the South Caucasus following the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.
The establishment of economic ties between Azerbaijan and Armenia is viewed as a critical step toward regional stability.
