The "Yashil Teatr" Baku Concert Complex and the Baku City Municipal Theater, along with all their assets, are being transferred to the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to this effect.
"The transfer of the 'Yashil Teatr' Baku Concert Complex and the Baku City Municipal Theater, which were previously under the authority of the Head of the Baku City Executive Power, along with all their property, to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall be ensured," the document states.
This administrative restructuring is part of a broader effort by the Azerbaijani government to centralize the management of cultural institutions to enhance operational efficiency and streamline state support for the arts. By bringing these venues under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Culture, the government aims to improve the coordination of cultural events and the maintenance of these significant public spaces in the capital.
