On July 2, weather conditions across Azerbaijan are expected to be characterized by rising temperatures, according to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing data from the National Hydrometeorological Service.
In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is forecast to be variably cloudy and primarily rainless. A moderate south-westerly wind will prevail. Temperatures are expected to range between 19-21°C at night and 27-32°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure is projected to drop from 760 mm to 757 mm of mercury, with relative humidity levels fluctuating between 60-65% at night and 45-50% during the day.
Across the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather is generally expected to remain dry. However, meteorologists warn of the possibility of short-term rain, lightning, and hail in some mountainous areas during the day. Fog is expected in certain mountainous regions during the night and morning hours, accompanied by a moderate easterly wind.
Temperatures in the regions will range from 17-21°C at night to 30-35°C during the day. In mountainous areas, nighttime temperatures will be 9-14°C, while daytime temperatures are expected to reach 17-22°C, with some locations seeing highs of 24-28°C.
The National Hydrometeorological Service, which operates under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, regularly monitors meteorological changes to provide timely warnings to the public. These forecasts are essential for agricultural planning and public safety, particularly during the summer months when heatwaves can impact health and infrastructure.
