Relations between the United States and Iran are being coordinated with Turkey, with messages being exchanged through Pakistan, according to Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the minister made these remarks during a live broadcast on the "A Haber" television channel. "Contacts have begun, and messages are being sent via Pakistan. The Americans are coordinating this with us, and discussions are ongoing," Fidan noted, emphasizing that Turkey maintains contact with both parties to better understand their respective positions and expectations.
Turkey has long positioned itself as a strategic mediator in regional conflicts due to its unique geographical location and diplomatic ties with both Western powers and Middle Eastern nations. Under the administration of US President Donald Trump, diplomatic channels in the region have seen renewed activity. Ankara's involvement as a coordinator highlights its growing influence in navigating the complex geopolitical landscape between Washington and Tehran, aimed at maintaining regional stability and preventing further escalation in the Middle East.
