Switzerland continues to express its firm support for the ongoing peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, emphasizing the importance of regional stability.
As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, this statement was made by Ignazio Cassis, the Federal Councilor and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, during a joint press briefing with Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Baku.
"I am pleased that Switzerland has made a small contribution to this process. I call on the parties to sign an agreement as soon as possible. Switzerland stands ready to provide its support to this process at any time," Cassis noted during his remarks.
Switzerland has historically maintained a neutral diplomatic stance, often serving as a venue for international negotiations and conflict resolution efforts. The country's involvement in the South Caucasus peace process aligns with its broader foreign policy objective of fostering stability and dialogue in regions experiencing geopolitical transitions.
