Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a meeting with Ben Blakk, Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).
This was reported to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development prospects of multifaceted Azerbaijan-U.S. cooperation, focusing on energy, transport-transit, high technologies, and investment opportunities. Furthermore, they exchanged views on Azerbaijan's strategic role in connectivity between Europe and Central Asia, port and logistics infrastructure, energy security issues, and regional transport projects.
The sides emphasized the special significance of the historic Washington summit held in 2025 in the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the U.S., noting that the meeting created an important foundation for expanding bilateral cooperation into new areas. In this context, they expressed satisfaction with the signing of the Strategic Partnership Charter, which aims to deepen cooperation in economics, energy, transport connectivity, high technologies, and security. Ongoing efforts within this framework were also reviewed.
A key focus of the discussions was the implementation of the TRIPP project, which is designed to ensure unhindered connectivity between the main part of Azerbaijan and its Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic within the framework of regional transport initiatives.
The parties also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
