The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed deep concern regarding the expansion of Israel's settlement policy in Palestinian territories.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this position was outlined in an official statement released by the ministry.

The statement specifies that the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights are considered territories under Israeli occupation since 1967. According to Paris, settlement activities in these regions are contrary to international law and pose a significant obstacle to the implementation of a two-state solution.

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a formal warning to companies and business entities operating in these occupied territories. The document notes that companies utilizing resources from these areas or participating in settlement projects could be considered complicit in violations of international law.

The ministry emphasized that such activities create serious legal, economic, and reputational risks for businesses involved.

Under international law, the West Bank, occupied by Israel in 1967, is considered the territory of a future Palestinian state, where Israel holds the status of an occupying power. International conventions prohibit an occupying power from transferring its own population into the territory it occupies or altering the status of the land. Despite these regulations, reports indicate that Israel has intensified its efforts to establish new settlements and expand existing ones in these areas in recent years.
