Fransada prezident seçkilərinin tarixi açıqlanıb

France has officially scheduled its upcoming presidential elections for 2027, with the first round set for April 18 and the second round for May 2. This information was reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM European bureau, citing the French newspaper Le Monde.

According to sources within the French government, authorities opted for this specific schedule over an alternative proposal that would have seen the voting take place on April 11 and 25. The decision finalizes the timeline for the next transition of power in the country.

Under Article 7 of the French Constitution, presidential elections must be held between 20 and 35 days before the expiration of the incumbent president's term. Current President Emmanuel Macron began his second five-year term on May 14, 2022, meaning his mandate concludes on May 13, 2027. In accordance with the French Constitution, Macron is ineligible to seek a third consecutive term, setting the stage for a significant political transition in France.
