Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov have signed the "Consultation Action Plan for 2026–2027" following their meeting at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. The agreement aims to strengthen diplomatic coordination and institutional cooperation between the two nations over the coming years.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Turkish media reports from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussions were held in a closed-door format. "Following the meeting, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov signed the 'Consultation Action Plan for 2026–2027 between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation'," the ministry stated.

The meeting covered a wide range of bilateral and international topics, including the regional situations in Iran and Syria. The ministers also reviewed the progress of major energy and infrastructure projects, such as the construction of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant and the ongoing operation of the Blue Stream and TurkStream natural gas pipelines. The Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where the signing took place, serves as a high-level platform for regional and global leaders to address pressing international challenges through dialogue and mediation.
