Emine Erdogan, the First Lady of Turkey and spouse of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has issued a statement marking the anniversary of the July 15 events.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Emine Erdogan shared footage on her social media accounts from the commemorative event titled "July 15 in its 10th Year: The Will is Ours, The Victory is Ours," held at the Bashkent Millet Garden in the capital, Ankara.
In her message, she highlighted the unwavering will and determination demonstrated by the Turkish people on the night of July 15, 2016. Emine Erdogan stated: "The will of our nation, like our waving flag, is free and invincible; no power can overshadow this resolve and determination."
The event was organized to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the failed coup attempt that took place in Turkey on July 15, 2016. This date is officially observed in Turkey as Democracy and National Unity Day, serving as a significant historical reminder of the public's resistance against the attempt to undermine the country's constitutional order.
