The content of the "Decision on the extension of the temporary stay period for foreigners and stateless persons in the Republic of Azerbaijan" has been officially approved.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to formalize these new regulatory standards.
The decree, developed in accordance with Article 39.4 of the Migration Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, establishes the specific content requirements for decisions regarding the extension of temporary stay permits for foreign nationals and stateless persons. Under the new regulations, applications for extensions must be completed in the Azerbaijani language, based on the documentation and information provided by the applicants.
Furthermore, the decision stipulates that the finalized document will be prepared in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Electronic Signature and Electronic Document." Once processed, the decision will be uploaded to the applicant's electronic cabinet within the E-Government Information System and simultaneously forwarded to the applicant's registered email address.
This regulatory update is part of the broader digitalization efforts within Azerbaijan's public administration sector. By integrating migration services into the E-Government Information System, the government aims to streamline bureaucratic processes, enhance transparency, and improve the efficiency of services provided to foreign residents and visitors in the country.
