The second day of negotiations between representatives of Ukraine, Russia, and the United States regarding the settlement of the Russia-Ukraine conflict has commenced in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Rustem Umerov, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, announced the development on his Telegram channel. Umerov stated that the talks are proceeding in the same working format as the previous day, involving trilateral consultations and discussions within specialized working groups to synchronize the positions of the involved parties. He noted that the official results will be disclosed once the negotiations are fully concluded.
The current round of talks in Abu Dhabi follows an initial session held yesterday. This diplomatic track, involving Ukraine, Russia, and the United States, held its first round on January 23–24. While the subsequent meetings were originally scheduled for February 1, they were later rescheduled to February 4–5. These high-level discussions are part of a broader international effort to find a diplomatic resolution to the ongoing conflict, with the United Arab Emirates serving as a neutral ground for mediation. The involvement of US President Donald Trump's administration underscores the intensified global focus on reaching a sustainable peace agreement in the region.
