The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has updated its flight safety warnings for airlines operating in the Middle East, citing ongoing security concerns in the region.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, EASA released an official statement detailing the adjustments to its safety protocols.

The decision, coordinated with the European Commission and member states, involves the expiration of the previous "Conflict Zone Information Bulletin" (CZIB) on July 8. Instead of a general warning, the agency has issued a new information note addressing moderate risk levels across the region.

However, EASA emphasized that high-risk conditions persist within the airspace of Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon. Consequently, specific conflict zone bulletins remain in effect for these nations. These advisory safety restrictions for the specified airspace are scheduled to remain valid until August 31.

The Middle East has recently experienced heightened military tensions, leading to increased scrutiny regarding aviation safety and airspace management. EASA, headquartered in Cologne, Germany, plays a critical role in maintaining aviation safety standards across the European Union, frequently issuing directives to ensure the protection of civil aviation from regional conflicts and security threats.
