Ceyhun Bayramov: Azərbaycan sülh prosesində böyük nəticələr əldə edib

Azerbaijan is currently experiencing a period of significant development, taking decisive steps toward regional stability with visible results in the peace process, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told reporters today.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov made these remarks while visiting the "Mother’s Cry" monument in Baku to honor the victims on the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide. The minister emphasized that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani people and the armed forces demonstrated unwavering resolve in liberating the country's territories from occupation.

"The entire world has witnessed that Azerbaijan maintains full leadership and holds the initiative in the peace process. Serious steps are being taken in this direction, and the major results are evident," Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated. He further noted that while looking toward a peaceful future, the nation must never forget its history: "Today's anniversary is of profound importance. As always, the people of Azerbaijan honor the memory of our martyrs."

The Khojaly genocide, which took place on February 26, 1992, remains one of the most tragic events in Azerbaijan's modern history. Following the restoration of its full sovereignty and territorial integrity, Azerbaijan has consistently advocated for a peace treaty based on international law and mutual recognition of borders. The commemoration at the "Mother’s Cry" monument serves as a national symbol of remembrance and the country's commitment to ensuring such atrocities are never repeated in the region.
