The Main State Traffic Police Department of Azerbaijan has issued an appeal to drivers and pedestrians regarding the increased traffic intensity on the country's highways. Due to the conclusion of the holiday period, a significant rise in the movement of citizens returning from various regions to their permanent places of residence has been observed, leading to heavy traffic at the entrances and exits of major cities.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the official statement emphasizes the need for heightened vigilance. "We ask drivers to take this into account, avoid rushing on the roads, pay special attention to overtaking and maneuvering rules, and maintain a safe distance between vehicles. At the same time, we urge pedestrians to be careful when crossing roads and to strictly follow traffic regulations," the department stated.

The Main State Traffic Police Department reiterated that compliance with traffic rules by every road user is essential for general safety. In Azerbaijan, the management of road safety and the regulation of traffic on republican highways are overseen by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Such seasonal appeals are part of the state's proactive measures to reduce the risk of traffic accidents during peak travel periods and to ensure the seamless flow of transport across the national road network.
