US President Donald Trump has not ruled out a potential visit to Russia in 2026, signaling a willingness to engage directly in diplomatic efforts. Speaking to reporters at the White House before his departure for China, the US leader addressed the possibility of traveling to Russia to facilitate international dialogue.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing TASS, President Trump responded to inquiries regarding a visit by the end of the year by stating, "I will do whatever is necessary." He further expressed optimism regarding the ongoing conflict in Eastern Europe, saying, "I think we will reach a settlement between Russia and Ukraine." The President also highlighted his diplomatic track record, noting that he has successfully mediated eight conflicts in the past.

This potential visit comes amid heightened international focus on the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the United States' role in brokering a peace agreement. Since taking office in January 2025, US President Donald Trump has emphasized a policy of direct negotiation and mediation to resolve long-standing global disputes. A visit to Moscow would mark a significant shift in diplomatic relations and would be closely monitored by the international community for its impact on regional security and global geopolitical stability.
