The unsettled, rainy weather currently observed across the regions of Azerbaijan is expected to continue until June 9.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued an official update regarding the ongoing meteorological conditions.
The forecast indicates that precipitation will be intense and heavy in some areas, accompanied by lightning and hail. In high-altitude mountainous regions, there is a possibility of precipitation turning into sleet or wet snow.
Authorities have warned that the persistent rainfall may lead to increased water levels in rivers. Furthermore, there is a risk of short-term flooding and mudflows in some mountain rivers, prompting residents and relevant agencies to remain vigilant during this period.
The National Hydrometeorological Service, which operates under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, is responsible for monitoring weather patterns and providing early warnings to mitigate the impact of extreme weather events on the country's infrastructure and agriculture.
