China has officially rejected allegations made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding Beijing's purported support for Iran's missile production.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Chinese side characterized the claims as "baseless accusations" and stated that these declarations are not supported by facts.
The issue came to the forefront during an interview with the Israeli leader aired by the U.S. media program "60 Minutes." In the program, Netanyahu alleged that China is assisting Iran in its missile production and the strengthening of its regional military capabilities. Beijing, however, dismissed these statements, emphasizing that its cooperation with Iran is conducted strictly within the framework of international law.
The diplomatic exchange highlights the ongoing tensions regarding Iran's military program and China's role in the Middle East. China and Iran signed a 25-year strategic cooperation agreement in 2021, which has drawn scrutiny from various international actors. Azerbaijan, maintaining its position on regional stability, continues to monitor such developments while upholding the principles of international law and territorial integrity in its own foreign policy conduct.
