Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has underscored the necessity of a joint military operation with the United States to counter the growing threat from Iran.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that in an interview with Fox News, Netanyahu stated that joint Israel-US military actions against Iran are essential, as Tehran seeks to destroy the United States and continues to develop its ballistic missile and nuclear weapons programs.
Netanyahu noted: "The goal of this regime is to destroy the US, and it is the only country on the planet that openly declares this and makes every effort to achieve this goal. The reason we must act now is that they were expected to learn a lesson after strikes on their nuclear facilities and ballistic missile program, but that did not happen… They began building new facilities, new sites, and underground bunkers to make their ballistic missile and nuclear bomb programs untouchable within months."
He added that a joint operation with the US would not evolve into another protracted conflict: "This war will not be endless. It will be a swift and decisive operation."
The Prime Minister's remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing concerns regarding Iran's enrichment of uranium. US President Donald Trump has previously maintained a policy of maximum pressure on Tehran, and Netanyahu’s call for direct military cooperation reflects a strategic push to prevent Iran from crossing the nuclear threshold. Such an operation would likely target critical infrastructure to ensure long-term regional stability and protect the interests of both Azerbaijan's strategic partners and the wider international community.
