Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has extended his congratulations to President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the congratulatory message reads as follows:
“Dear Mr. President, dear friend.
I congratulate you and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Independence Day. I am grateful for our true friendship, which has strengthened over the years, and for the relations between our peoples. I highly value your efforts that contribute to regional stability, play an important role in promoting peace and bringing us closer to achieving our common goals, as well as your resolute position in the fight against extremism.
I am particularly grateful for your country's continued support for Israel, the solidarity you demonstrated after the heinous Hamas attack on October 7, and your fight against regional threats. This confirms the trust and respect upon which our true partnership between our governments and peoples is based.
I look forward to further expanding our bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields, including artificial intelligence, aviation, tourism, and academic spheres, as well as holding the next meeting of the Joint Commission.
