A ceremony for the exchange of newly signed Azerbaijani-Serbian documents took place in Belgrade on February 15, with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev and the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Press Service of the President of Azerbaijan, the signed documents cover a wide range of strategic sectors. Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev and Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy Dragan Glamocic exchanged the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on cooperation in the field of food safety." Additionally, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic exchanged an agreement regarding the design, construction, and management of a gas turbine power plant in Serbia.

Other key documents included a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on economy, exchanged by Mikayil Jabbarov and Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Adriyana Mesarovic. Agreements were also reached in the fields of media and communication, culture for 2026-2030, sports, and health insurance. The latter was exchanged between Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Serbia Kamil Khasiyev and the Director of the National Health Insurance Fund of Serbia, Sanja Radojevic.

The strengthening of ties between Baku and Belgrade reflects a growing strategic partnership based on mutual respect for territorial integrity and economic synergy. Azerbaijan and Serbia have consistently supported each other in international forums, and these new agreements, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors, further solidify Azerbaijan's role as a key partner in Europe's energy security and regional development.
