A high-ranking Iranian official has denied allegations regarding attacks on oil facilities in the city of Fujairah, United Arab Emirates (UAE), according to reports from foreign media outlets.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the official dismissed claims of a pre-planned strike by Iran against the energy infrastructure. "There was no pre-planned attempt by Iran to attack the oil facilities in question. What occurred is the result of the US military's adventurous activities to clear a path for illegal ship passage through restricted routes in the Strait of Hormuz. The responsibility for this lies with the US military," the official stated.

The official further urged the administration of US President Donald Trump to cease using force as a diplomatic tool and to end military maneuvers in the sensitive oil-producing region, which impacts the global economy. These remarks follow reports of alleged drone attacks by Iran targeting territories in the UAE and Oman. While Iran refutes these claims, UAE authorities confirmed a fire in the Fujairah industrial zone, noting that three individuals were injured during the incident.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world's most vital maritime chokepoints, through which approximately one-fifth of the world's oil consumption passes daily. Tensions in this region often have immediate repercussions on global energy markets and international maritime security. Fujairah, located on the eastern coast of the UAE, serves as a major bunkering hub and a critical exit point for crude oil that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz via pipeline, making its security a matter of international concern.
