BDYPİ: Mövcud hava şəraiti sürücülərdən daha məsuliyyətli davranış tələb edir

Rainy and drizzly weather conditions currently observed across Azerbaijan, along with foggy conditions in certain directions, are creating additional challenges for road traffic. The Main State Traffic Police Department (BDYPI) told Operative Information Center-OMM that limited visibility and slippery road surfaces have significantly increased the risk of accidents.

In an official statement, the BDYPI urged all road users to act with heightened caution and responsibility given the current meteorological situation. "Drivers are advised to adjust their speed according to the road and weather conditions, maintain a greater following distance to be prepared for sudden situations, and exercise particular care during maneuvers and overtaking," the department noted. Furthermore, motorists are reminded to ensure that windshield wipers, lighting systems, and tires are in proper technical condition. Pedestrians are also advised to cross roads only at designated points and ensure their visibility to drivers, especially under limited light conditions.

The Main State Traffic Police Department emphasized that ensuring safety on the roads during complex weather conditions in Azerbaijan depends directly on the responsible behavior of every traffic participant. Such seasonal weather shifts in the South Caucasus often lead to increased monitoring by traffic authorities to prevent collisions. The department continues to monitor the situation on major highways and urban centers to ensure the uninterrupted and safe flow of vehicles during the autumn and winter months.
