Significant traffic congestion and density have been reported on the main roads of Baku. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has released the latest data regarding the current transport situation in the capital.
The current traffic situation on Baku roads is as follows:
- Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of "20 January" metro station;
- Mikayil Mushfiq Street, from "Badamdar" circle towards School-Lyceum No. 20;
- Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadliq Avenue;
- Yusif Safarov Street, in the direction of the city center;
- 28 May Street, from the intersection with Pushkin Street to the intersection with Rashid Behbudov Street;
- Koroghlu Rahimov Street, from the intersection with Ak. Hasan Aliyev Street towards Heydar Aliyev Avenue;
- Binagadi highway, in the direction of "Azadliq Avenue" metro station;
- 1st Gol Kanari road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Airport highway, in the direction of "Koroghlu" metro station;
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards "20 January" metro station;
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue, main road, in the direction of the center;
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue, auxiliary road, in the direction of the center;
- Rashid Behbudov Street, in the direction of the Central Bank;
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the front of the Baku Olympic Stadium towards "Gara Garayev" metro station.
Traffic congestion in Baku often intensifies during peak morning and evening hours due to the high volume of vehicles entering the capital from surrounding residential areas and suburban settlements. The Intelligent Transport Management Center continuously monitors these arterial routes to regulate traffic flow and ensure the safety of commuters. Authorities advise drivers to use alternative routes where possible to avoid delays in the mentioned directions.
