Traffic congestion reported on major Baku roads

Significant traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads and avenues in Baku, impacting the flow of vehicles across the capital. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Digital Development and Transport Agency's Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an alert regarding the current situation on the city's transport network.

The ITMC reports that heavy traffic and density are currently observed at the following locations: 1. Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 January" metro station; 2. Ali Mustafayev Street, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue; 3. Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Ahmad Rajabli Street to the intersection with Ataturk Avenue; 4. 1st Gol Kanari road, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue; 5. Abdulvahab Salamzade Street, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue; 6. Heydar Aliyev Avenue, main road, towards the city center; 7. Heydar Aliyev Avenue, auxiliary road, towards the city center; 8. Yusif Safarov Street, towards the city center; 9. Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue; 10. 8 November Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the center; 11. "20 January" circle; 12. Tbilisi Avenue, from "20 January" metro station towards the center; 13. Khatai Avenue, towards Heydar Aliyev Avenue; 14. Babek Avenue, towards the center; 15. Mikayil Mushfig Street, from "Badamdar" circle towards school-lyceum number 20.

Traffic congestion in Baku often intensifies during peak morning and evening hours as the city continues to expand its infrastructure. The Intelligent Transport Management Center regularly monitors the capital's road network to provide real-time updates to commuters and coordinate with relevant authorities to optimize traffic flow. Drivers are advised to consider alternative routes where possible to avoid delays on these primary thoroughfares.
