Azerbaijan has dispatched a new shipment of humanitarian aid consisting of electrical equipment to Ukraine. The cargo was sent from the territory of the Sumgait Technologies Park as part of Baku's ongoing support for the country's energy infrastructure.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the delivery was organized by the Ministry of Energy in accordance with a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev on January 16, 2026. The humanitarian shipment, valued at $1 million, includes 12 low-voltage panels, 11 generators, 5 transformers, and 27,000 meters of electrical cables and wires.

This latest contribution brings Azerbaijan's total humanitarian, recovery, and reconstruction assistance to Ukraine to over $45 million. Azerbaijan has consistently provided support to help restore electricity supplies in Ukraine following significant damage to its power grid. This initiative is seen as a further demonstration of Azerbaijan's commitment to international humanitarian cooperation and its policy of supporting friendly nations during times of crisis.
