The Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic have signed a treaty on alliance relations, marking a significant milestone in bilateral cooperation between the two nations.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the document was signed by the presidents of the two countries, President Ilham Aliyev and Sadyr Japarov. In addition to the alliance treaty, the heads of state signed the decision of the 3rd meeting of the Interstate Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic.

This agreement elevates the existing diplomatic ties between Baku and Bishkek to a new level of strategic partnership. Both nations, which share deep historical and cultural roots as Turkic-speaking states, have been actively expanding their cooperation in energy, transport, and economic sectors in recent years, further strengthening the integration within the Turkic world.
