Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the visiting Foreign Minister of the State of Israel, Gideon Saar, to discuss the deepening of bilateral relations. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM. The meeting began with a private one-on-one session between the ministers, followed by expanded discussions involving delegations from both countries.

During the talks, the sides exchanged views on the current state of Azerbaijan–Israel relations across bilateral and multilateral platforms, as well as future development opportunities and regional security issues. The ministers emphasized that mutual high-level visits are a testament to the strategic partnership based on trust and shared interests. Key areas of economic cooperation were highlighted, including energy, trade, investment, tourism, transport-logistics, high technologies, defense, green energy, and medicine. The role of the Joint Commission between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Israel was specifically noted, with both parties expressing confidence that an upcoming business forum would provide additional impetus to economic ties. Furthermore, Azerbaijan informed the Israeli side about the post-conflict normalization process in the South Caucasus and the ongoing landmine threat in liberated territories which hinders the return of former internally displaced persons.

Azerbaijan and Israel have maintained a robust strategic relationship for decades, characterized by significant cooperation in the energy and defense sectors. This partnership is further strengthened by deep-rooted humanitarian ties, including the centuries-old Jewish community living in Azerbaijan and the active Azerbaijani diaspora in Israel. The visit of Foreign Minister Gideon Saar to Baku underscores the commitment of both nations to maintaining stability and fostering economic growth in their respective regions, particularly as Azerbaijan continues its large-scale reconstruction efforts in the Garabagh region.
