Atletico Madrid has officially set the transfer valuation for its Argentine forward Julian Alvarez.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing reports from The Mirror, the Madrid-based club has informed interested parties, including Arsenal, that the player will only be released if his 500 million euro release clause is met in full.
Club president Enrique Cerezo remains committed to retaining Alvarez and expects the forward to continue representing the club in the upcoming season. This stance led the club to reject a previous 150 million euro offer for the player from Real Madrid.
Julian Alvarez has demonstrated significant form during the 2025/26 season. The forward has been a key figure for the team, recording 20 goals and 9 assists across 49 appearances in all competitions. Atletico Madrid, historically one of Spain's top clubs, continues to prioritize long-term squad stability as they compete for domestic and European honors.
