Armenia is actively diversifying its export markets for goods that face import restrictions in Russia. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Interfax, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced these measures during a campaign meeting with voters.

"We are discussing new sales markets. We are grateful to our international partners for their swift response. We have already received concrete proposals regarding the purchase of roses, fruits, and vegetables," Pashinyan stated.

The Prime Minister promised government support for producers who have suffered financial losses due to the export bans to Russia. "If peppers are at risk of spoiling, the government will compensate the producers. Ultimately, this will lead to an increase in both the production and export of peppers in Armenia. We will implement support and subsidy programs in all instances where unfair obstacles to exports arise," Pashinyan declared.

This initiative comes as Armenia attempts to navigate the economic challenges posed by shifting trade dynamics within the region. Diversifying export destinations is a critical component of the country's broader economic strategy to reduce dependency on single-market access and mitigate the impact of external trade barriers on local agricultural and manufacturing sectors.
