Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan is scheduled to pay a working visit to Strasbourg from January 26 to 28. The visit is timed to coincide with a series of events marking the 25th anniversary of Armenia's accession to the Council of Europe.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Armenpress, Mirzoyan is expected to deliver a speech at a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on January 28, which will be broadcast live. The official program for the visit also includes several bilateral meetings with international counterparts and organization officials to discuss regional and institutional cooperation.

The Council of Europe, founded in 1949 and headquartered in Strasbourg, is the continent's leading human rights organization, currently comprising 46 member states. Armenia officially joined the organization in January 2001. Such high-level diplomatic visits to Strasbourg typically serve as a platform for member states to outline their foreign policy priorities and engage in dialogue regarding regional security and democratic development within the European framework.
