A forest fire broke out in a wooded area near a settlement in the Toptaş neighborhood of Antalya, Türkiye.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the fire started for a reason that has not yet been determined.
Following the report, firefighting teams from the Regional Directorate of Forestry and Kumluca Municipality were dispatched to the area.
Efforts to extinguish the fire are continuing with aerial and ground intervention.
Forest fires are a recurring seasonal risk in Türkiye’s Mediterranean region, where hot, dry weather and strong winds can accelerate the spread of flames. Authorities typically deploy both aircraft and ground crews to contain fires near residential areas.
