Anar Bayramov has been appointed as the Executive Director of the Administration of the Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB) following a meeting of the entity's Supervisory Board.
The meeting was chaired by Khalid Ahadov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TABIB and Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan on socio-economic issues, Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing official information from TABIB.
The appointment was made in accordance with paragraph 3.3 of Presidential Decree No. 418, dated December 20, 2018. Bayramov brings extensive expertise to the role, having previously served as the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population following his appointment by presidential order on April 17, 2025. His career includes significant leadership roles, such as Chairman of the Board of the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency and Chairman of the Board of the A-Group Insurance Company.
TABIB was established in Azerbaijan to ensure the implementation of mandatory health insurance and to manage the network of public medical institutions across the country. The agency plays a critical role in the ongoing healthcare reforms in Azerbaijan, focusing on improving the quality of medical services and ensuring accessibility for all citizens. The appointment of a professional with a background in both clinical medicine and insurance management is expected to further strengthen the integration of the national health insurance system.
