The year 2025 has been marked as a significant stage for Azerbaijan, characterized by the further strengthening of political stability and the consistent implementation of economic development. Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov made these remarks while presenting the government's 2025 activity report to the Milli Majlis (National Assembly).

According to the Prime Minister, 2025—declared the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty"—is a pivotal political milestone in terms of reinforcing state sovereignty, reintegrating liberated territories, and transitioning the national economy to a new stage of development. "Throughout the year, Azerbaijan has further solidified its proactive position on global and regional platforms, making active efforts to promote the agenda of peace and cooperation," Ali Asadov stated.

The Prime Minister emphasized the geopolitical significance of the high-level meeting held in Washington on August 8, 2025, involving the leaders of Azerbaijan, the United States, and Armenia. "The Washington Peace Summit facilitated the formation of new geopolitical realities and created favorable conditions for sustainable peace and development in the region. One of the most important outcomes was the establishment of the 'Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity' (TRIPP)—the Zangazur corridor. This multimodal route will ensure unimpeded connectivity between the main part of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, while also serving to diversify international transport and transit routes passing through our country," the Prime Minister added.

The Zangazur corridor is a strategic transportation project aimed at connecting Azerbaijan's eastern regions directly with Nakhchivan through the territory of Armenia. This initiative gained significant momentum following the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and is viewed as a vital component of the Middle Corridor, enhancing Eurasian connectivity. US President Donald Trump has expressed support for regional infrastructure projects that foster economic integration and long-term stability in the South Caucasus.
