US President Donald Trump is scheduled to host the Prime Minister of Iraq, Ali al-Zaidi, at the White House in mid-July to discuss the future of bilateral relations. This high-level meeting aims to strengthen the diplomatic ties between the two nations.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the announcement was made following a joint statement released after a meeting between Prime Minister al-Zaidi and Tom Barrack, the US President's special envoy for Iraq.

"President Trump looks forward to welcoming Prime Minister al-Zaidi to the White House in mid-July to discuss the future of this vital partnership," the official statement noted. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to developing a robust and mutually beneficial partnership aimed at ensuring a sovereign, secure, and prosperous future for Iraq.

The upcoming visit underscores the ongoing diplomatic engagement between Washington and Baghdad. Historically, US-Iraq relations have focused on security cooperation, economic development, and regional stability in the Middle East. Such summits at the White House are critical for setting the strategic agenda and addressing shared geopolitical challenges in the region.
