ABŞ və İran arasında nüvə danışıqlarının detalları məlum oldu

Recent negotiations held in Switzerland between the United States and Iran reportedly centered on the critical issue of monitoring and inspecting nuclear facilities. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing information from The New York Times, these details were disclosed by officials and diplomats familiar with the ongoing discussions.

The proposed draft agreement under discussion would reportedly grant the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) expanded authority to conduct short-notice inspections of any facility deemed suspicious within Iran. Similar proposals were previously tabled during meetings in Geneva in February, though the process had stalled shortly thereafter.

During the weekend talks in Switzerland, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi engaged in direct consultations with both parties. Diplomatic sources indicate that Grossi emphasized the necessity of granting international inspectors sufficient access to verify that nuclear fuel is not being diverted for military purposes.

While it is believed that the Iranian side may be amenable to the proposed inspection mechanisms, officials in Tehran remain cautious about releasing specific timelines or details. They are reportedly withholding final confirmation until agreements are reached on broader issues, including the timeline for accessing frozen assets.

US President Donald Trump has previously expressed hope that Iran would agree to international inspections to ensure the transparency of its long-term nuclear program. The nuclear issue remains a central pillar of international security policy, with the IAEA playing a pivotal role in monitoring proliferation risks globally since its establishment in 1957.
