New details have been released regarding the students killed during an attack on a school located in southern Iran.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Tasnim News Agency, the identities of 99 out of 168 students who lost their lives in the US-Israel airstrikes on the "Shajara Tayyiba" primary school in Minab have been fully established and made public. The identities of an additional 69 students have yet to be confirmed.

The head of the Information and Public Relations Center of the Iranian Ministry of Education, Hossein Sadeghi, stated that families are being required to provide DNA samples to facilitate the identification of the remaining missing students. Officials noted that the process is ongoing as forensic teams work to match biological data with the victims found at the site.

The primary school for girls in Minab was reportedly struck on February 28, 2026, during joint military operations by the US and Israel against Iran. Iranian officials and state media have condemned the incident, reporting that 168 children were killed and dozens of others were injured in the strike. This event marks a significant escalation in regional tensions, drawing international attention to the humanitarian impact of the ongoing military conflict in the Middle East.
