The International Bank of Azerbaijan (ABB) has announced that it is currently experiencing technical difficulties affecting certain card transactions.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the bank notified its customers of the issue through an alert sent via its official mobile application.
"Due to a technical difficulty involving a third party, some cards have experienced unauthorized additional deductions. The problem will be resolved in the near future," the bank stated in its notification. The financial institution has requested that customers exercise patience while technical teams work to rectify the situation.
ABB, which is one of the largest financial institutions in Azerbaijan, plays a critical role in the country's banking sector. Technical glitches in payment processing systems are occasionally reported by major banks globally, often stemming from integration issues with third-party payment gateways or network providers. The bank is expected to issue a follow-up statement once the system stability is fully restored and any erroneously deducted funds are returned to customer accounts.
