The Administration of the Regional Medical Divisions (TƏBİB) has finalized comprehensive preparations to ensure the uninterrupted provision of medical services during the Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, TƏBİB has implemented a strategic action plan to manage potential medical needs during the international event.

Four major medical facilities, including the Republican Emergency and Urgent Medical Aid Center, will operate under a reinforced work regime throughout the forum. Specifically, the emergency, pediatric emergency, intensive care, and surgical departments of the Yeni Klinika have been placed on full alert. Furthermore, specialized bed capacities have been reserved at the Mahammadi Modular Hospital for infectious diseases, the Central Oilmen's Hospital for burn injuries, and the Clinical Medical Center for toxicology cases. TƏBİB confirmed that all necessary medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and supplies have been fully stocked in advance.

To ensure rapid response, the Republican Emergency and Urgent Medical Aid Center has allocated 75 medical brigades and 35 ambulances to work on a shift basis. These teams will provide 24/7 coverage at designated hotels and event venues across the capital. In addition to the deployment of personnel, specialized training sessions on basic and advanced life support have been conducted for doctors, paramedics, and drivers. Similar first-aid training was provided to staff and volunteers of the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operating Company to enhance emergency intervention skills.

The World Urban Forum, established by the United Nations in 2001, is the world's premier conference on sustainable urbanization. Hosting the 13th session in Baku underscores Azerbaijan's commitment to global urban development goals and its capacity to host large-scale international summits. The event brings together government officials, urban planners, and civil society leaders to discuss the future of cities and sustainable living environments.
