A small aircraft carrying 11 people crashed into the ocean off the coast of the US state of Florida.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing The New York Post, that the incident occurred shortly after takeoff.
According to reports, the pilot issued a warning regarding a technical malfunction before the aircraft went down approximately 80 kilometers from the shore. The US Coast Guard immediately launched a search and rescue operation involving both aircraft and marine vessels. All 11 individuals on board were successfully rescued and transported to nearby hospitals for medical evaluation.
The causes of the crash are currently under investigation. According to the National Weather Service, weather conditions at the time of the flight were unfavorable, characterized by strengthening winds and a high probability of thunderstorms. Florida's coastal regions are known for rapid weather changes, which frequently pose significant risks to small-scale aviation and maritime activities. Federal authorities are expected to release a detailed report once the wreckage is analyzed.
