Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, leading an Azerbaijani delegation, visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow as part of his official visit to the Russian Federation.
According to the "Operative Information Center-OMM", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan announced the visit on its official X (formerly Twitter) account.
During the solemn ceremony, the delegation laid a wreath at the memorial, which is dedicated to the Soviet soldiers killed during the Second World War. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, located near the Kremlin wall in Alexander Garden, serves as a significant site for state ceremonies and diplomatic protocols in Russia, symbolizing respect for those who sacrificed their lives in conflict.
Official visits by high-ranking diplomats often include such commemorative acts to demonstrate respect for the host country's history and to strengthen bilateral diplomatic ties. Minister Bayramov's visit to Moscow is part of ongoing efforts to discuss regional cooperation and bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia.
