Zelenski: Novorossiysk dəniz bazasına hücum təşkil etdik

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has disclosed details regarding a recent operation targeting facilities deep within Russian territory.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Zelenskyy shared the update via his social media accounts.

Reports indicate that Ukrainian forces successfully struck the Novorossiysk naval base, located more than 300 kilometers from the front lines. According to Zelenskyy, the operation utilized Neptune-type missiles, Palyanitsia armed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and unmanned maritime vessels.

The Ukrainian leader stated that the attack targeted Russian air defense positions, port infrastructure, and docking facilities. Official Kyiv has declared that operations against Russian military targets will continue as long as the aggression against Ukraine persists, emphasizing that the Russian fleet and its supporting infrastructure remain vulnerable.

The Novorossiysk naval base is a critical strategic asset for the Russian Black Sea Fleet, particularly as Moscow has sought to relocate naval assets away from occupied Crimea due to persistent Ukrainian strikes. The port serves as a major hub for both military and commercial shipping in the Black Sea region, making it a significant logistical point for Russian operations.

Zelenskyy also reiterated the necessity of ending the war, noting that all proposals for a diplomatic solution remain on the negotiating table.
