Traffic has been fully restored on the 92nd kilometer of the Hajigabul–Horadiz highway after a tree fell onto the roadway during severe weather conditions overnight. The incident, caused by heavy rain and strong winds, created a hazardous situation for vehicles traveling along the route.
The Main State Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told Operative Information Center-OMM that Road Patrol Service officers were immediately dispatched to the scene to manage the situation. Officers implemented urgent safety measures, issued warnings to motorists, and organized the safe and continuous movement of vehicles to prevent potential accidents.
Following the initial response, heavy machinery was deployed to the area to remove the fallen trees and clear the debris from the driving surface. The Main State Traffic Police Department has since issued a formal advisory to drivers in Azerbaijan, emphasizing the vital importance of adjusting speed to match weather conditions, maintaining safe following distances, and strictly adhering to traffic regulations during periods of unstable or rainy weather to ensure public safety.
